Gah! It's been too long!

Post by Scholomancer »

I was waiting for new PzC DLC releases but has been way too long. Any recommendations for replacement turn-based tactical\strategic gaming? I have War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition but that's way too complicated for my tastes right now. Could be any era, but recently have had a hankerying for sci-fi empire building. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I can really recommend Lock 'n Load: Heroes of Stalingrad

The ruleset really comes to life in the computer version of the game, since it keeps track of all the modifiers for you. And stacking counters is a breeze when the computer does the administration for you :)

Graphics stay true to the boardgame. Simple yet beautiful and pleasant to look at. Amazing soundtrack too!
Good number of options to tune the game pace / dice rolling to your liking.

My only gripe is that noone seems to be playing it online, but online play is still a possibility if you ever find anyone. Oh well, the AI is keeping me busy!
