Armor partial damages

Post by Stechkin »

I've noticed that once a tank gets partially damaged it is never repaired. Actually tank crews had some spare parts to fix things and then there were recover and repair tanks (ARRV's) and trucks. Having these vehicles around would probably just complicate matters. So, the best way to simulate maintenance operations would be to restore full battle readiness in one, two or three turns depending on the extent of damage. The partial damage is actually a great thing, though.

Repair is not in the time scale that we cover in a game but if someone wanted to add mods you could have engineer units or repair vehicles added that did this kind of thing.

You are sure some field repair are not possible at this scale? I was thinking of the track. But may be I am contaminated by the recent tank simulator.
