Hello, someone here who hasn't played in three years (and that was 2.0). Still remember the basics but not more than that, would like to start a game as the allies to get back into the mojo.

Hi, I've played 4 games so far, 2 ongoing with my brother. still fuzzy on the rules, like why are the brits at supply level 4 in Egypt, and what does the relative cost of research mean? Learned how the Axis get spain the hard way. Learned how tough Norway is the hard way. Anyway, I'm fine with allies, and I even think the partisans are overblown so I'm fine with half partisans. If you play against the AI you get triple the number of partisans on something. Against a real player you get some partisans, but not that many unless you have captured most of Russia. One reason for having partisans in the game is to ensure that players defend captured cities and resources in certain countries. If you have some forces on garrison duty you can quickly get rid to them so they don't become a nuisance.

A good thing about partisans is that they give you experience when you attack them.
