Saved Games Not Working With New Update

Able to update game with latest version from Slitherine site. But when accessing game saves met with blank black screen. Have went back and checked this several times and it works in the beginning. But as the game goes on when you select a saved game the screen goes black.

Indeed, old savefiles from the GSA campaign are no longer valid. Though if you want to resume an old match, please send me the file and I'll upgrade it.

After installation of any update I will begin a new game in the NASA sandbox mode because I want to see what changes have been implemented. I then go along and save the game at points not to lose my progress. The saved game problem is a new one since after installing the latest update and beginning a new game I will save the game- I do not use older saved games after installation of an update but begin a new game. At the start when saving I can go back and retrieve the save but after the latest update as the game progresses and I go back and retrieve the save I am met with a black screen-a probable bug with the latest update.

You're right, I found a bug in the code. It doesn't happen with all the savefiles, though, but it's definitely an issue. We're modifying bits in the UI at the moment, so once we're done with that (should take a couple of days) I'll upload a small patch and post the link here so that you don't have to wait until the next official patch.

How do I install the save files update into the program? I have tried unzipping it into the program but get errors. What is the procedure for doing it right. Thanks

Hello bill,

Notice that we don't have a tool for upgrading savefiles. The plan is to release a patch within the next few days which will include the fix I made that was preventing your game from loading. Give us a few more days, as we're now working with the UI artist on the game screens and we want to test things thoroughly before releasing a fix.

I apologize for the earlier email. I thought you had posted a correction to the saved games comment. I will wait for the update to come out and download it then
