Re: Has there been a sale on AC,AK GC?
I don't remember there was a sale. Maybe something around Christmas a year or two ago (some coupons or something) but I have vague remembrance of that.
Surely sale would be nice, but I doubt it will come anytime soon as game has small but very dedicated fan base.

Has the been a sale on the grand campaign mega pack?
The mega pack is cheaper then buying the grand campaigns separately so I would think not

Between individual campaigns and Mega packs there are differences.best75 wrote:The mega pack is cheaper then buying the grand campaigns separately so I would think not
If we evaluate the complexity of passing, the Mega Pack - medium, and separately GC - hard.
However, in order to play on hard you need to properly install them.

Maybe you know that with every patch comes new features.best75 wrote:Sorry I am a bit confused at what you meancaca wrote:Between individual campaigns and Mega packs there are differences.best75 wrote:The mega pack is cheaper then buying the grand campaigns separately so I would think not

During the creation of the Grand Campaign there were all the new features that are included in the game engine. As a result, many players began to write that it becomes very difficult to play. Therefore, all the DLC have been redesigned, with the new features.
And in my opinion this caused an imbalance in the campaign. Now, even a weak player can play on Rommel.
When you buy on the site of the Grand Campaign separate, that is the only way you can get the "old" version.

WTF? This is not true. Game is very challenging on Rommel difficulty no matter the patches. Especially since there is prestige cap.caca wrote: Now, even a weak player can play on Rommel.
Re: Has there been a sale on AC,AK GC?
This is absolutely wrong. If at all with the new 1.20 rules, especially the prestige soft cap, the game become rather harder. Yes one can use some of the advanced options to make the game easier but then you aren't really playing on Field Marshal level then a custom one. Even if options like limited randomness do not officially change the difficulty level. There are different discussions threads on the boards that prove this point.caca wrote: Now, even a weak player can play on Rommel.
Yes the scenarios in the Grand Campaign, as was others tho as well, was changed slightly in different patches but it was mostly bug fixes. The only feature that comes to my mind that is really making the GC a bit easier are the special named heroes. They are virtually free, quite strong in some cases, units you are being given for free. There is an easy solution to this tho: Don't like them -> disband them instantly when you get them. As this happens during a mission you don't even get the prestige for them.
Re: Has there been a sale on AC,AK GC?
I am a player average. But GC 39 - 41 at the level of difficulty Rommel pass for half turns. It speaks only of imbalance scenarios.timek28 wrote:WTF? This is not true. When the air invasion of Crete passed for 4 stroke, it is not in any gate not climbing. Replay to lay out?
A soft cap for GC at all contra-indication . It is necessary to determine for each year separately.

We then started an empty discussion. Everyone has their own opinion.
I would advise buying GC separately on this site, and not in the Steam

I don't care when the grand campaign was last on sale.
I'd like to know when it will next be on sale.

Re: Has there been a sale on AC,AK GC?
Say what's this soft cap or prestige cap?

Re: Has there been a sale on AC,AK GC?
Prestige cap is prestige gain reduction influenced by the quality of units you posses in your core. Basically the better units you posses the less prestige you gain in-between scenarios and by conquering hexes. This can reduce prestige gain to some minimal level when you have a bad ass core. This is also a game's way of stopping you from overwhelming AI with elite reinforcements all the time, anytime. Now how the formula for this looks I don't know. That is I don't know exactly when the cap kicks in. But it certainly makes game much more challenging. Also the problem can be that some prior games (PC, AK, DLCs) didn't compensate for the cap into scenario prestige calculation so it might be harder to play them under cap as you might be getting a lot less prestige then you actually need to maintain a good core. I didn't try this out, as I played only Allied Coprs and mods under prestige cap.
