“MYSTERY PRIZE” SEE YOURSELF IN MINIATURE!

Post by jdm »

“MYSTERY PRIZE” REVEALED FOR THE WIN THE FIELD OF GLORY™ INTERACTIVE INSTANT WIN GAME: SEE YOURSELF IN MINIATURE!

Today Slitherine, Osprey Publishing, and Wargames Factory revealed the “Mystery Prize” in the Win the Field of Glory™ interactive instant win game! Starting at 5pm GMT or noon Eastern Time on Friday April 11, 2008, players of the game will have the chance to win a very special prize – See Yourself in Miniature!

This prize allows one lucky winner to send in a photograph of themselves to the Wargames Factory design studio where WF sculptors will recreate their likeness as a 28mm wargames figurine! The winner will also be able to specify the period, dress (uniform), and pose for this unique miniature! Five unique copies will be modeled using a 3D printer and delivered to the winner for gaming or display.

“Imagine yourself as Caesar, Alexander, or just legionary #4 on your wargames table,” commented Wargames Factory CEO Tony Reidy. “This is a great opportunity to “personalize” your hobby!”

The Win the Field of Glory Instant Win Game can be played DAILY now through May 31, 2008. Don’t miss your chance to win!

“This is literally your chance to lead your army from the front” said JD McNeil of Slitherine “now you won’t be able to blame the dice”

Hold on. Maybe I don't want to win.

I hope Wargames Foundry sculptors are up to the task of rendering some of our more rotund brethren!
And then there's others such as "Chris the Tall".

Modeling for that in an English climate is unlikely to produce the desired effect....

This could be the start of a great trend...How much would they charge to custom-make and army of ME???
How about and army of the kid who used to bully me 60 years ago???

Great
I would win and be forced to build a 28mm army again. And because I am such a stylish guy they would make me a Gaul; Republician Roman; and a EIR Roman.

Which would force me to build 3x600 point 28mm armies! Where in Gods name am I going to put all my 28mm Samurai? plus my 2 soon to be 3 15mm armies? This is madness, madness I say.

So, where do I sign up to win...

15mm: Swiss, Spartans, Late Republic Romans, EIR Romans, and can you believe it Samurai. 800 points
28mm: Late Republic Romans 650 points
28mm: Samurai 800 points
