- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has been established and You have been appointed its first Administrator. You will be responsible for managing the Agency's budget, personnel, and equipment and ensuring America leads the world in Space Exploration.

- THE YEAR IS 1955, THE SOUND BARRIER HAS BEEN EXCEEDED ONLY A FEW YEARS AGO AND THE FIRST EARTH ORBITING SATELLITE HAS YET TO BE DEPLOYED. IN AN EFFORT TO CONQUER SPACE AND MAKE AMERICA THE WORLD'S LEADER IN SPACE EXPLORATION, U.S. PRESIDENT EISENHOWER HAS ESTABLISHED NASA, THE NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION.

- YOUR DUTIES AS ADMINISTRATOR INCLUDE MANAGING PROGRAMS, RECRUITING AND MANAGING PERSONNEL, AND CONDUCTING SPACE MISSIONS.

- THE CURRENT SCREEN, THE SPACE COMPLEX, IS THE PRIMARY SCREEN FOR ALL MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES. ALL FACILITIES ARE ACCESSED FROM THIS SCREEN. SINCE NASA HAS BEEN RECENTLY ESTABLISHED, ONLY A FEW BUILDINGS HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED. PRESS THE "MAGNIFIER ICON" TO IDENTIFY/LEARN ABOUT EACH FACILITY. PRESS THE "CONSTRUCT ICON" TO BUILD OR UPGRADE A FACILITY.

BUDGET INFORMATION
- THE INITIAL BUDGET IS $3,000.0 PER SEASON FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS. AT THE END OF FOUR YEARS, THE MINIMUM TARGET PRESTIGE THAT MUST BE ACHIEVED IS 187 AND WILL GRANT A NEW BUDGET OF $4,375.0 PER SEASON. THE MAXIMUM ACHIEVABLE BUDGET AFTER FOUR YEARS IS 1,875 AND WILL GRANT A NEW BUDGET OF $9,375 PER SEASON.
