Ordonnance Burgundian List Typo?

Post by pbrandon »

I can't find this noted elsewhere. In this list the total bases for ordonnance pikemen is 9, which I think should read 8. Makes no real difference as you can't have a BG of 9 of this type, but if there's ever a reprint...

No, that 9 is ok. You can have a battlgroup of 8 ordonnance pikemen, but if you use the option to mix pikes and longbows you need those 9 pikes to make 3 BGs of pike/longbow.

a far better question is "why would you bother"?

not enough bows to make a dent, not enough HF to defend yourself. cost more per unit than just pikes or just longbow.

in an army as tight as the burgord already is, why would you waste the points!

May be quite effective if you cover their front with the stakes you are allowed.

May be a very good counter to Knights :) :) :)
