Re-Downloading on new computer

Post by wcford »

Greetings:
I am getting a new computer within the month and am wondering how I can go about re-downloading all my Panzer Corps applications on the new machine. I own PC, all of the Grand Campaigns, Afrika Corps, and Allied Corps. I have the serial numbers, but I haven't been able to find any download links. I went on Matrix games, but all of the registered serial numbers say "No Download". Also, once I get the games reinstalled, how can I import my saved games so I don't have to start over?
Thanks!

If you still have the installations programs saved somewhere you can just copy them to your new computer and install it there. If you don't have the installers anymore you need to write an email to support[at]slitherine.co.uk explain them the situation and provide your serial numbers. They will email you new download links. After you downloaded the installers again you should save your installers somewhere in a save place. Be it an external USB drive, USB stick, a DVD, or whatever you like. This way you will be able to reinstall the game again if the need arise.

Alternatively if you are using Steam anyway and don't mind having PC on Steam you can just redeem your steam keys for all the PC products you bought here at Slitherine and download the game over Steam.

The save games and other settings by default are saved in "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\my games\Panzer Corps\". Just copy the folder over to your new PC and you should be fine. The path is correct for windows 7 at least. On different window version the path may vary a bit but you get the picture where to look for it.

Thanks. I think I have all the installers saved on my backup drive. I'll check. If not, I'll contact support as you suggested. Appreciate the help.

Try to use the Steam version. It´s REALLY easy to install the game in a new computer, you almost have to do nothing.
