Unable to start

Just purchased on Steam today.

I get the Slitherine loader, but when I click on Play Commander: The Great War, nothing. It does not register starting the program on my task manager either. An uninstall/reinstall via steam has not fixed the issue.

OS: Windows 8.1
Processor: Intel i7 @ 2.4GHz
Memory: 16 GB
Graphics: NVidia GeForce GTX 670MX

Edit/Update: When I try to launch directly from ctgw_steam.exe or ctgw_launcher.exe (under all config settings), I get a System Error: The program can't start because MSVCP110.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I have tried reinstalling and it still fires back with this error.

MSVCR110.dll is the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable dll that is needed for projects built with Visual Studio 2011. The dll letters spell this out. MS = Microsoft, V = Visual, C = C++, R = Redistributable

For Commander to get started, this file is needed.

This error appears when you wish to run a software which require the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012.

Normally on install, you are requested to install or repair Visual C++, so you can do a re-install and this time install or repair Visual C++ when prompted to do so.

The redistributable can easily be downloaded on the Microsoft website as x86 or x64 edition.

Depending on the software you wish to install you need to install either the 32 bit or the 64 bit version. Refer the following link:

You also need OpenAL, so again install this when prompted by the game or download and install here:

Yep. Must not have taken my second edit. I updated the C++ and it works like a charm.
