Re: Can not update the game
Hello priclessppp,
If the autoupdater in the game launcher refuses to work, try upgrading manually to 0.7.8 by downloading and applying the installer from here.
Then download the upgrade for 0.7.11 and apply it on top of it.
Let me know if you're still having issues.
Cheers,

It won't work for me, either - and bought the game yesterday...
There are some other issues, but I wanted to make sure I was updated to the latest one before mentioning them.

Welcome to the SPM forums! If you're having problems with the auto-updater tool, please grab the latest patch from this link and install it manually.

Also getting error messages in trying to update. I have downloaded a file, but it appears to be older than the current version and I cannot get the file to open in Windows 8. Help!

Welcome to the forums! If you're having troubles using the auto-updater tool, fetch the file manually from this link. Apply that patch first so that you can get to version 0.7.18.1 and then download the latest version.
Apologies if the process is a bit long-winded, the reason behind this is explained in the F.A.Q..
Cheers,
