Update from Beta Testing?

One week into Beta testing, do you guys have a better feel when the game will be released?

Also, when can we expect the next batch of testing to begin?

Beta feedback has been very useful and not a lot of major problems have come up. However we still have a lot of work with scenario creation and tweaking so until that is progressing at a more steady speed it's still hard to pinpoint a release date.

Next beta phase should start early/halfway next week.

The second stage beta has been uploaded yesterday, so hopefully we'll be able to send out the installer by the end of this week. Another ~20 people will be added (feedback quality and quantity from the first group has been excellent so we're sticking to small numbers for now).

In the meantime a few highlights of things we've added during the first beta stage:

Carriers now display their cargo on-deck & ships no longer display shadows on bottom of the sea (to get rid of the "floating" illusion)



Ranged units now have a range outline when selected, making it much easier to see what can be hit from where.



Enemy aircraft no longer display their fuel levels (Fog of War)



Damage numbers now coloured according to player colour, making it easier to see who takes what damage when air & ground units share the same hex.

There is surprisingly little activity on this game in this forum. I am very interested in this game, I applied for beta so I was wondering if the beta testers are not allowed to post yet or do they have a limited access topic to post in? Anyway the game looks and sounds great and I can't get enough news!

(Private) Betas take place in hidden/private subforums so you can only see it when you have access. There is currently 450 posts there already from the initial group of 20 testers so we can't complain - and luckily most of this is gameplay discussion rather than bug reports

We'll try to do regular updates on public forum/websites as well!

Did the second wave of beta testing start like planned last week or do you have some kind of delay?

I am sure i did register already ages ago. When i try to register again i don't get OoB:Pacific Beta listed as possibility at all anymore so i guess it means either i am registered for it or something went terribly wrong.

EDIT: I found a possible problem. I can log in into the forums but when i try to log into the shop using the same account it doesn't let me. That could possibly be a source of the problem. I will email support and see what they say.

EDIT 2: A password reset solved the problem above but still OoB:Pacific is not on the list for Beta's i can register to.

Yes you are. Honestly anyone who registered on the beta page will be on the list - it's all working fine. Not sure what happened with Tarrak but it should be an exception.

I guess i angered the gods of the internet. I will amend for my sins and will sacrifice a young smartphone and maybe even a baby laptop to appease them.

The game is indeed in beta, but only for PC from what I've seen. I'm waiting for IOS.
