Can't beat crusader

Love this game, but now as Allies, my English units simply haven't been able to beat Crusader. In my last attempt, I controlled most of the map, escorted three service vehicles safely, took the airfield to the west, and while Germans broke through the lines of Tobruk, they never took any flag hexes of the Brits.

What am I doing wrong? Not getting what 'five victory hexes' are? Any help?

I moved the topic from AAR to the main forum where it's more likely to be spotted and answered.

I don't recall the exact win conditions for the crusader scenario out of my memory and here at work i can't look it up so i can't give you any specific hints at the moment but "five victory hexes" means exactly what it says: you need to control five victory hexes. Victory hexes on the map are marked with flags with golden border. On the strategic map you can see them as circles with golden border.

You're also required to capture the airfield in the western edge of the map with the paratroopers asap.

Are you unable to get any kind of victory, or just no Triumph?

Victory: you must hold at least 4 VH (=victory hexes) . There are 5 VH one the map, NOTE: the airfield to the west doesn't count as it becomes a normal hex when it is captured or after turn 8. The western airport must be captured before turn 7 to prevent a large Axis airforce spawning, but I believe it is not really part of the victory conditions.

Triumph: Hold all the 5 VH and escort at least 3 Service Corps truck to the marked area.

The scenario had always worked for me so I'm guessing you are holding less then the required number of VH? One is near the deployment area, one is inside Tobruk and the three others are Southeast of Tobruk.
