I'm reather confused: so is it possible for artillery in open terrain to shot to units behind intervening Hills or not ? It's clear that it's impossible if the LOS cross the crest but in other chases ? an intervening hill doesn't block LOS ?
Thanks :(

Hi Matteo, I think we're all clear that hills do block line of sight as any line which goes through the hill will need to cross a crest.

The village would be irrelevant (irrelephant?) as the hill itself blocks LOS. The additional presence of a feature that does not suddenly make it transparent!
