Nigel, that is a given then. As someone who played Covenanters last year you are clearly a gentleman of quality and distinction and a jolly good chap.
I might use Covenanters this year but a bit different from that you used last year.

I wish you luck, I have tried them since to make them work in the ecw period and 1650 date range all with out success... The version that alasdair recommends is the marston moor version to get the good cavalry.... I can see why..

As to last years army it has been reflagged as jacobites which seem to last longer, even under my tutorage :)

This year I've gone to the other end of the scale and I'm bringing samurai... List in awaiting checking from kevin....

Double defeat looming, I fear.

Nice try Alasdair. Sold my LoA Anglo Dutch to my friend Frederick before the basho last year and boxed them for him at the end! So no LoA for me this year. Later Thirty Years War German would be closer to the mark (see what I did there?). In fact its right on the money (did it again!). I mailed RBS my list but apparently they've to go to Kevin instead BTW. RBS said he'd probably not make Britcon. A real shame. Don't see Frederick's name down either.

Also Alasdair - 1. see Richard's post re Later Hapsburgs elsewhere and 2. I don't think John even has French! You need to slap some Mr Sheen on those crystal balls of yours!

Hunter, I can understand why your defeat by the French is indistinguishable in your mind from all the other defeats you have suffered!!
Actually the French was one of my purchases from Simon and the figures feature prominently in the army list book etc.

The Dons? I do not think there is an Aberdeen Football Club army list in any of the books.

Ah yes I do remember them now. It was a decent paint job and I guessed they weren't your handiwork.
