Actually, I can say more:

GC14 can't be released tomorrow because LandMarine was slow at sending me the briefings (AGAIN). v1.2 will still be released, adding the new Single-play function and some graphics and GC14 units.

WWI v1.2 has been released.

This patch includes new graphics for a great many units, as well as all the files needed for Grand Campaign '14. The GC14 has not yet been completed (due to slow writers and certain Nintendo games), but I hope to release that on July 8. Also, it is now possible to play all Kaiserschlacht scenarios as single battles, rather than just as a campaign. This also means that MP is now do-able.

If you wish to play someone at a WWI scenario, be sure to leave a note in the description saying that it is a WWI scenario, as it seems to enjoy renaming scenarios if the mod is enabled. Something like " Description:[WWI] for BNC " is suitable.

Also, I will be taking down previous versions of the mod.

Also, I'm thinking of making a Grand Strategy WWI map, which uses the same mod as this, but I will edit the GrandStrategy units so that they have less range (without affecting other WWI campaigns)

any thoughts?

Well, this has been a topic of much discussion, so I have decided to add a Truck unit.

Stats compared to horses [ Truck (horse) ]

Prestige cost: 50 (25)
Movement: 12 (8)
First use-able: 1916 (1914)
Units it can carry: Infantry, AT and AA (Inf, Artillery, AT, AA)

When I release v1.2.1 (Most files will still say v1.2, as GC14 is little more than a re-release of v1.2 with the campaign), the Opel Blitz graphic will be used. However, if you submit a better one on to the Mod Graphics thread, I'll be happy to replace it. (Though the Truck graphic isn't a large priority for me - I'd prefer all the new units instead)

I think most will prefer horses. Cheaper, and same attack power (0). Who needs speed when you're sitting in a trench?

Hi BNC,

Thank you for continuing to improve and develop your brilliant mod. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I thought you might like to know that I was only able to download it from this page. The link on the first page is broken, or at least it was for me (and I tried from two different computers).

Although I have previously labelled the next patch as v1.2.1, due to the enourmous amount of new graphics and stuff going into it, it will be called v1.3 instead.

And by the way, if I run out of numbers for patches (v1.9), I will be lazy and just make it v1.10 ->

Well, why should anyone work on something this big for 6 months without thinking that it is a good thing to be doing?

Release of v1.3 is delayed to the 28th (not so much by briefings, however I still await them :( ), so that I can add Horse Transports, trucks and new units to the Kaiserschlacht campaign as well as the GC (as well as laying the groundwork for the Grand Strategy map).

The Grand Strategy map will begin in October 1914, due to the speed of events in the first 2 months, which would be too hard to represent, and also so that there is trench warfare in the west, not constant movement for 4 years.

:D BNC gets poked at a lot lately... The frugality, it is something my country (NL) gets made fun of all the time, so I have plenty of material. BTW, is it a bad thing that I recognise what car that is? I must find better hobbies... and more time for modding.

Anyone who pokes me gets poked a lot more by my mighty stormtroopers!

Right now though, I'm more interested in sorting through the 10 million (not really) icons that have been uploaded for this mod. I wonder what caused this random wave of them?

I'm not even sure if many people read this any more, as I've only had about 80 downloads as opposed to 200+ for v1.0, but for those who still enjoy the mod (maybe I'll get more with GC14), I'm hoping to add the Blue Max (official name: Pour le Mérite) as a medal after the Iron Cross 1st Class, but before the Knight's Cross.

Does anyone have any idea how to add medals, as this was something that should go in the mod, considering now that the mod has some pretty silly things in already!

I've never tried it, but others have modded it with succes, there are mods which change medals only. There is an award.pzdat file which links kills and awards (names, images) in the Data folder, you can do simple image swaps I suppose. Don't forget to edit the strings.pzdat file to enter the correct full name for the medal.
