Not afraid of Byron just thought it was unfair on him to have to go all that way to fight me, after all if I survive the impact I am then + or ++ if fighting his back rank. Instead I get Stephen Stead and his Tauregs, will see if Japanese can do as well as 15th C French as that is what fought them at Campaign.

Three different types of armies.. That's nice to see... I'm inquizative as to why I'm the only one going pre 1530 with Japanese, for the horse archers.... Even if you only have one bg of them...alasdair2204 wrote:I Think the order is

No don't think so.. He went down to alasdair and I think ben won this morning... So I expect its ben's depending on Alasdair's score this afternoon..viking123 wrote:So what is the final result?

Unfortunately Alasdair's Arabs met Ben's Samurai which is a nasty match up. Despite Alasdair initiating 24 separate charges the samurai stood firm. At the end of the day this allowed a couple of leapfrogs with the final order being:-
1) Ben Jones
2)Stephen Stead
3) Simon Le (submarine)-Ray Meyer
In the 25mm I was triumphant! Order was:-
1) Don (not the Don) Avis
2) Dave Allen
3=) Jim Gibson
3=) Ray Boyles.
See you all at Central London and Britcon.

Ben (aka the new shogun): did your list have the heavy foot samurai option? If so is it actually worth the points? Of course in a comp with lots of shot, but against curriasieurs atleast the unit is not out armoured...
I'm wondering wether to drop a unit of armd warriors to be able upgrade my other 24 bases to heavy armour?

Nigel,
For 1pt taking the Heavy armour is a no brainier option. Don't leave home without it. Take the max! It's your only hope if hit by pistol/pistol cavalry!
