How to represent camps

Post by Quintus »

I note the other thread created to display players' camps but thought it best not to divert the subject slightly hence this one.

How do players tend to represent camps?

I am currently painting a couple of "25mm" armies (using 1/72 plastic solidiers) for the Mid-Republican Romans and the Ancient Spanish. I notice Zvezda produce stockade-type walls and wondered if anyone was familiar with those items and whether they might make a suitable camp. Are there any other figures or models that can be recommended?

The other armies in the pipeline are both 15mm (mainly Feudal Castings) HYW English which my eldest son is painting and a force that will provide a Scots Isles army as well as the basis for a Medieval Irish one. Can anyone recommend suitable baggage figures or tents etc for those?

I've made stockade style walls out of dowel rods before and they are dirt cheap.
