What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Battle of Seminara 1495

Londo (French) 41/61 defeated zumHeuriger (Neapolitan/Spanish) 61/60

Londo (N/S) 54/60 defeated zumHeuriger (French) 64/61

Great games, a lot of thorny tactical problems that had me thinking and thinking (and then often doing completely the wrong thing, particularly in the latter game).

One thing that may have saved my ass in the second game is telling the Calabrian militia to go home! Poor Protected HF with Off Spear - just walking French VPs. I marched them away from turn 1.

This scenario illustrates that FOG isn't always a perfect vehicle for simulating history. (Gosh, Londo, you're kidding?) :) Historically, the Swiss pikemen pushed across the river and broke their opponents. Good luck trying to recreate that in FOG. Even for Superior troops, the effect of disorder crossing the stream are just too severe.

Ideally you would be able to designate hexes as having a % chance of disordering. So a gentle shallow stream might only have a 25% chance of causing disorder, or whatever number the scenario designer specifies. Maybe we can have that feature when v 2 comes out! ;)

What about below

If new maps can be used can Slitherine/Newrosoft be able to erase some of the "bugs/discrepancies"

1. When you have destroyed a bg, a unit or units can not move properly

2. Cavalry are still standing when on AI evade vs other mounted troops that have a better impact factor and on ocassions a better combat factor as well. For example superior drilled armoured cav bow and sword will stand vs undrilled superior, HA, knights, lance and sword or average prot (undrilled), cav bow and sword will stand on AI vs superior, undrilled, protected, lance and sword cav.

3. Cavalry can evade through a 1 hex wide gap even passing by enemy bgs

4. Some troops who are always on evade, have not moved and have room to move sometimes stand agst pursuing enemy bgs

5. There are still the odd ocassions, bgs rout or evade through a friendly bg that is in combat

6. Hobilars in the HYW English Britain early dismount incorrectly

7. Any chance I could get some help with my edit and create scenarios it has been well over a year and nothing. Technical tried to help but still I can not use them. Also I can not downnload other scenarios.

There may well be others. SLitherine had informed me that they would not do anything about the above as they are now focussing on V2. As V2 is taking a long time, (is it 18+ months) shouldn't they solve the above.

Do we have any idea when V2 is to be completed or has it stopped?
