Northern Virginia, DC area players

Post by PhillipPournelle »

I'm interested in playing Fields of Glory. Is there a group in the Northern Virginia or DC area? When and where do you all play?

There is a largeish group actually. We play at the Game Parlour in Chantilly VA on Wed nights starting around 6PM onwards.

There is a yahoo groups (ancients in virginia or something similar) that is used to help organize though a lot if done on Wed nights.

There is also some play on Sunadys at the Game Parlour in Woodbridge. Dan Hazelwood runs the yahoo list. I am at work and don't have all the details at hand.

Scale

Do you all play with 15mm or 25mm? My current figures are 25mm based for WAB.

Mostly 15s, but there is a reasonable size group of people that can/will/want to play 25s.

We also try and fit games in on Sunday mornings at Game Parlor too.

There will be a FoG tournament based on the Rise of rome lists on Sunday 27th April at Chantilly, starting at 10am and lasting through to 6 pm.

Cheers

Suitable Stand Ins

Post by PhillipPournelle »

What have you all been doing for suitable stand ins while waiting for the supplements to arrive. For example I have Normans/early Crusaders and Early Byzantines. One Supplement won't be available unitl May and the other in October. :(

If we answered on this forum the secret agents would show up. :)

We can also loan armies.

Wed nights 6 pm at Game Parlor Chantilly way out near Dulles. Same place Sundays at 10 am. Usually people pre-schedule games.

I will tap you off list to get you current on details.
