True, they are quite limited, but they still exist. There are also plenty of times when you want to get as close as possible (i.e. within an inch) of troops - mainly when you are about to charge troops who can evade. If you modify the rules so you can't approach within 2" this makes single ranked cavalry far too powerful IMO. Skirmishers also may want to get that close so they can evade a particular way / or if space is tight.Only those listed on page 74 to my knowledge, unless I've missed something elsewhere in the rules. They are rather limited.
Surely this situation come up in playtesting? I do not recall it happening to me during beta games but lots of people playtested it worldwide
I regularly get to within midges nads of enemy BG's.
Not having a go at anybody in particular - please don't feel singled out!!!Anyway, my intention was to point out a possible house rule mod for those inclined. Not to trumpet changing the book after it being around for five minutes!
