Discount sites lacking your games

Post by Revan.be »

Hello, i would like to try my hand at several of your games,
but i only VERY RARELY buy a game at one would consider full price (like 15euros for an old game).

I tried to look at some discount sites like Kinguin , OnlineKeyStore and GamersGate,
of which the former two have the advantage of discounts that last for several months
before they might ever dissappear from the site.
Did not find the Slitherine games i was looking for though,
does anyone know of a discount site that also offers the codes or direct downloads for any of Slitherine games
or are we limited to solely the main site of the publisher?

If you can wait for a bit, the people at Slitherine usually have excellent sales.

We don't use and will not use discount sites.

Why not?
You already have several games on Steam i believe,
and these do benefit from the steam sales and the discount sites as well.

When i buy similar older games like panzer general and its ilk , i usually buy them from GOG at about less than a pint each,
and as a direct result gog has seen a lot of business from me and people like me.
Same with Steam , same with some other publishers games who do offer stuff on discount sites.

I have heard some good things about Slitherine/matrix games ,
and would like to try some of them, especially the older ones with more immersive skeuomorphic UI's,
however at the listed prices for games from 2006-2011 this always makes me doubt getting them.
Besides for most of the older ones i find interesting there aren't any decent lets plays even,
so i really do hope that you'll come round on this stance eventually.

Also ties into popularizing your genre (in-depth strategy ) a bit more,
and thus also in with this topic:

There are many many threads about this so I wont go in to it but we don't believe these price points are good for anyone except the retailer who is trying to gain market share by under cutting their competitors.
