Gift purchase?

I'd like to buy another game copy for my son and prefer the revenue is to Slitherine directly and not Steam. Can I designate a purchase as a gift in the purchase process, or would I have to just buy another copy and give him the serial to register (so it's all on his Slitherine account)?
