Ok, here is a very special request fullfilled... The Katzchen APC! I really like the result of this project. As anybody can see, this is the version based on the Pz38 (t) chassis, which seemed to be the most documented. Besides, should the conditions allowed, this prototipe was judged better than the other one, so this one would be the one chosen for series production...
As I could resd, this vehicle was designed as a replacement for the Sdkfz 251 halftrack, in its various roles, and also to be used as a recon platform. This said, I can (for the time being) think about some versions to be developed from the basic model (which, in this case is the APC)
Katzchen Uhu: vehicle carriyng a big infrared searchlight to illuminate targets for IR fire control equipped tanks, same to the Sdkfz 251-20. I already made this version icon, just the mask is missing.
Katzchen Recon: This icon could be turned into a switchable (a rare thing to be read in this thread!

) armored recon unit, in the same way as the Italian Saharan Inf/Sahariana Recon vehicle. This icon could be made identifiable by adding some figures inside it, handling binoculars and/or one of those cool binocular persicopes the germans used for long range observation while under cover (anyone can help making such graphic?)
Katzchen Fire support: A version with the short 7,5 cm L/24 gun, useful to provide fire support to recon teams (very similar gun mounting as the Sdkfz 233). I saw some scale models images in the internet
Katzchen Engineers vehicle: Also saw images of a version of this vehicle equipped in the same way as the Sdkfz 251 engineers version, with the bridge sections mounted on its sides...
PS: Any of the german speaking members could be so gentle to provide a good short term to replace the english APC abreviation, in order to give a better name to this unit?
Well, some ideas I had, while robbing time to my "real life" obligations!
I hope you like the icons!
Very special thanks to Jmacnamara who managed to accurately reproduce the exact regular german unit tone, for the non-Se icons, which allowed me to make a skin which looks, simply said, perfect. Good job!!
