For comparison I just opened an older (3 weeks) save of Belgorod (dlc 43). And noticed something odd - I had 3 captured KV 1 B and 2 KV 1 C.
According to the captured units database this is not possible. I should have 2 KV 1 B, captured in the Smolensk and the Voronezh scenarios in dlc 41 and 42 respectively.
Anyone an idea where the 3rd KV 1B is coming from? The only scenario in 41 and 42 where I did not acheive a major was Tatsinskaja (deliberately), in the dlc playthrough in question I went the Leningrad path and tried the Sevastopol assault.
I really would like to know ...

Thorsten

Re: 3 captured KV 1 b???
Hello ThorHa, I noticed that you didn't list the KV-1A that you can capture during Vyazma?
I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to make a big assumption/guess here, could it be a possibility that you captured that one as well and perhaps sneakily upgraded it to a B model with 'all eqp' ? (I do this sometimes...
)
So far, all capturable KV's that you could have collected are (in chronological order):
Smolensk41: KV-1B
Vyazma: KV-1A
Voronezh: KV-1B
Ilovlya: KV-1C
Storming Stalingrad: KV-1C

Re: 3 captured KV 1 b???
Ok, according to my notes you get KV's at the following
GC41-5-Smolensk41 you get a KV-1B @ Kransy (31,14)
GC41-9-Vyazma you get a KV-1A @ Kaluga (33,27)
GC41-10-Streets of Moscow you get a KV-1B @ Airfield (24,3)
GC42- 1-Vitebsk you get a KV-1C @ Usvyaty (26,24) maybe (20,24) my handwriting sucks
GC42-5-Voronezh you get a KV-1B @ Perelishinokiy (26,16)
GC42-7-Ilovlya you get a KV-1C from the most south western train, didn't note the coordintes.
So I get total of 1A, 3B and 2C heading into Stalingrad. Looking at your list you are missing the one you got in streets of Moscow I think.
Disband values 458 for an A and 485 for a B, haven't checked for a C yet. But that's 4-5 major flag hexes or 9-10 minor flag/airfield hexes so not to be sniffed at
. Just like forced surrenders they are a major potential help with your prestige pool, anyone else look for the lowest damage unit to force the surrender, especially when fully supressed? I even got a surrender when the attacking unit failed to score a single kill once and I didn't think that was possible.
So Street of Moscow from the airfield is where you got your third.
Cheers

Re: 3 captured KV 1 b???
You get a surrender if you force a unit to retreat and it has nowhere to go. It retreats if all remaining strength is suppressed and it takes damage from a ground unit and it has no remaining entrenchment. Now I'm not completely sure if have to at least suppress it in your attack but I'm pretty near certain that a miss wouldn't have any effect. You can force surrender with entrenchment at 1 because your attack reduces the entrenchment to 0.Bonesoul wrote: I even got a surrender when the attacking unit failed to score a single kill once and I didn't think that was possible.
Since the unit retreats after combat, high damage reduces surrender prestige. In order to maximise surrender prestige you should have a heavily suppressed unit with entrenchment 1 or 0 and cause the minimum amount of damage needed to completely suppress it

Streets of Moscow, thank you bonesoul, I just remember now.
@ThvN: No, I did not mention the KV 1 A as this one was already sold. I am not even sure I went for the one in Vyazma scenario before the mentioned save.
I like the 1B and 1C as both are absolutely great blockers due to their insane ground defense rating.
