You've learnt well from me - still stuck on Nintendo! Probably won't get through making the 3rd scenario for another year at this rate!

Re: WWI - Kaiserschlacht v1.1 now Online!

Post by BiteNibbleChomp »

Somehow, even with my Wii U begging to be played again, I have managed to make a patch for Kaiserschlacht. This changes the campaign slightly, as some scenarios needed a couple of extra turns to be added.

----------------------------------------
Full changelog:

Schlieffen Plan - now 20 turns (was 19)
Estonia - now 22 turns (was 20)
Brusilov Offensive - now 25 turns (was 30)
Brusilov Offensive - Removed some AHE units in the north to make it more difficult
Jutland - AI now much more aggresive
Jutland - CP Western battlegroup moved south slightly
Mons18 - Deserting effect added (-2 HP/turn for all auxillaries)
Poland 15 - 2 new AHE Mountain Infantry units added to assist in taking Przemysl
Michael, Georgette and Paris 18 - more PP added at the end of each scenario
UK18 - Heavy cruiser near Liverpool changed to a Destroyer

Gas Artillery now cost 125pp (was 175) - also being implemented in GC14
Campaign starts you with 1800pp (was 1200)
New Menu screen has been added.

---------------------------------------

In short:
More prestige avaliable throught the campaign,
Improved balancing of units in scenarios
Some scenarios have better AI
Mons18 has just become more impossible!!!!!

I will leave v1.0 online until I release GC '14 in about a month's time, if you still want to play the old version.

Download here:

Feel free to leave feedback! (I will not be making Mons 18 any easier, however!)

My stormtroopers will blow up that Panzer IV very soon!

Also, nice scenario thinking. You must have a giant war brain BNC.

Why do people still vote on that? The poll was used to make GC '14!

I see that you got there with 150% pp. Download v1.1 - and then play on 100% again - I edited the prestige slightly this time. (Restart with the patch is my suggestion)

Glad you like it! v1.2 will come out with Grand Campaign '14, and you will just download 1 file for the two mods. They will use different unit sets, however. This system will allow m to add the new aircraft graphics to Kaiserschlacht without too much stuffing around with files.

BiteNibbleChomp wrote:Aside from GC14 for a post, what would people think if I edited "War of the World" to make a WWI version?

I was considering doing this, but The Path to Rearmament came to mind, and pushed everything back (after the Wii U has pushed all my modding back by months - Mariokart 8 is going to be hard to avoid!)

So, any opinions on this?

- BNC (GC14 will still go ahead, but '15-'18 may be pushed back a month or so if I make WotW2)
I like the sound of that.

OK then, It will be added to my huge list of stuff to do for WWI - it at least won't need to be nearly as detailed as the first one. I'll probably add it into v1.3 (v1.2 is GC'14)
