IPad Game
$20 for the game in App Store and super expensive in game purchases, very greedy. I am an avid gamer and unfortunately will never pay this on ipad and few will. I saw your other games are way overpriced too. Guys, you have to realize most people will not buy. If that's the business model, se la vie. Good luck, I will not buy your games on ipad. For 20 there should be no in game purchases.

Re: IPad Game
For $20 you get 30+ single player missions, lots of multiplayer missions, as well as all the user mods you can eat - hundreds of hours of gameplay. The IAPs are content packs with additional campaigns, but are not required to enjoy the main game. The iPad version is identical to the desktop versions which retail at $30, so I think it's tough to characterize it as overpriced. But you will of course make your own value judgement on the game.

Re: IPad Game
I agree with Pip. The multiplayer mode alone is worth the price, where you can play up to 30 games at once against human adversaries worldwide. And then there is BA2
I think you would be hard pressed to find another app with as much playability and longevity. Have had the game for nearly two years now and still find it keeps my interest as a keen gamer.
Still, as you say, to each their own.

Re: IPad Game
Sadly there are a lot of people who don't care what you get and want everything for $20 with no concept of what everything is and not caring it might be vastly different to what another game calls everything. Most developers put out a game then patch it once or twice and move on to game 2 and don't look back so don't care that its being discounted. We support the game for years to come with expansions and free updates. This requires an ongoing revenue stream or its clearly not viable.
Its very hard yo know how to react to such comments as we have to educate people but as nobody else works the way we do its an uphill battle.

Re: IPad Game
I'll admit BA is the only game on IPad I have paid for. I would not pay for any other gaming title for ipad as you may as well console play for similar price but I will also say I would gladly pay the same price again and again for any game that matches BA for its multiplayer alone and after playing hundreds of apparently 'good' mp and MMO war themed games on ipad i can honestly say spend your money and purchase BA, you definitely will not regret it. Play through the single player but then get involved in the MP matches and try to get into the tourney scene and in 6 months time you'll think it's been money well spent.............I like most people who have paid break it down into cost divided by hours played and 18 month later I'm still playing it as much as I did when I first purchased.

Re: IPad Game
I'll chime in on this and say I've had this on iPad since day one and don't play MP and still consider it the single best purchase of a game on the iPad I have ever made.... (Panzer Corps from this same company is a very close number 2.) Sure as hell beats the crap out of those $.99 wonders with there ever increasing demands to buy Gold everytime you want to Move or Build something.
Here you get a full PC Quality Game for one Price even if you don't want or need The Expansions.
I have also since bought the PC versions of both games and Expansions Just because sometimes you feel like a Tablet sometimes ya Don't.....
PLEASE NOTE: Expansions are full featured PC Quality Expansions that took years to produce not just IAP (In App Purchases) as you called them.
NOTE TO DEVS: Please don't take these comments to Heart the iPad marketplace has many spoiled entitled people that like to give an opinion without doing any research to find out the real facts of corporate economics.. Just know that there are people that see the value of your hard work and will gladly give you fair market value in return.

I just wanted to warn you that any discussion of piracy whatsoever is against the rules and will result in you getting banned. I know you meant it as a compliment but discussion of piracy in any form of anyone's games will get you banned.protectivedaddy wrote:I'm on jailbreak and have all the expensive titles for free as I would not pay for any other title

I apologise I never meant it to be construed as a discussion on piracy. I will edit my post accordingly.
Re: IPad Game
It has a few random generator modes (at least unit wide), but multiplayer has a ton of content. Some of the maps are choose your own force. I haven't even finished the desert yet because of multi. If you like the medium of the iPad, it is a good purchase.

Re: IPad Game
I will add my few cents: for $20 you get an amazing game with massive MP and SP playability. To me that's a bargain. Where I disagree about the value comes with the expansions. At $10 I bought only a few reluctantly and felt they were overpriced for what they provided. Many of the maps seem like rehashes for example. The $30 for the whole set is far better, but still a bit high IMHO. In any event, those are my thoughts. I just don't see complaining about the base game, but I get being irked by the expansion costs.
Re: IPad Game
Just look at gross revenue rank of appstore, then you will find most of them are so called fre.e games.
They are designed to make users to pay more eventually than just one time purchase games.

Re: IPad Game
I would love to get all the BA academy DLCs that I have on the PC for the IPad. I am going to buy BA on the IPad but will not pay the $10 a pop for the DLCs. Just too many of them. Have them all on PC though.

Re: IPad Game
You can get the same megapack of DLC on iPad as you can on PC - all the DLC for $30 if I recall correctly.

Re: IPad Game
I had to delete the game to make room for an update and I know I had some of the expansions, but I don't remember which ones. When I went to reinstall the game, all the expansions had in-app prices on them. How do I get only the ones I paid for? I only want those I paid for right now.

Re: IPad Game
Hmmm - if you cannot remember which ones you purchased then in theory it should warn you when attempting to purchase one you don't own, verses telling you it will be free for ones you have IIRC.
