Brewer Sailors Venue

Post by Furry_Pal »

Hi Listers

Announcing the 2014 edition of Henry Brewer-Gus Sailors Memorial Ancients Tournament

April 26-27, 2014, in Birmingham, AL.

Tournament Details:

1. 1 list 850 points, any published book
2. 4 rounds of play (3 rounds Saturday and 1 round Sunday). Sat start 9 am, Sunday 8:30 am.
3. Referee will be Joey Miller. Send lists to jmiller@...
4. Lists will be due by April 19. Late lists give opponent +1 PBI.
5. Venue:
Cleveland and Cleveland
2330 Highland Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35205

There is parking in the back along the alley. Also will need a couple of mats, I think we have 5. We have enough table space for 16 max. Let us know if you are coming, so we can rent enough tables.

I have 3 Smackers coming from South Ms., no lists yet though.

Best regards,

Your furry pal

Joey

Entry fee is $15.

There are no hotels immediately adjacent to the venue. The closest ones are near UAB and somewhat pricey. Along I-65 at the Homewood, Oxmoor Rd exit (256B), there are several hotels including a Howard Johnson’s, an Econo-Lodge, Super 8 among others. These are not too far from the venue and one of us could meet you at the hotel if needed for you to follow to the venue.

Typical English-centric view. The majority of us do not trace our roots to some John Bull.

Hi Phil

A little dig by me at the player, good catch.
We give him a hard time about that army.
They look great, if only they fought as well as they look.
Best regards

We've already disowned you Dan. However that Joey seems like a nice fellow
