Astronauts

Post by redcoat22 »

When we eventually get the historical US and Soviet campaigns will we use the real astronaut names? If not, is there any way we could be allowed to edit their names? I find the current names difficult to grow attached to... perhaps when the pictures are added it will help (they are coming right?).

Further, have we considered adding "crew" dynamics that allow us to build crews for programs in order to easily tailor their training?

Hello redcoat,

Unfortunately we cannot use the real astronaut names in the game. Notice that the current names have been randomly generated and are just placeholders, they will be replaced by the names of those players that bought the 'Apollo Tier'. We won't provide a way to edit names in the official game. However, we're planning to expand mod support in the future, so you'll be able to create your own version of the game and name your recruits as you see fit.

We were not planning to add "crew dynamics" in the game. But, maybe after release, we can implement some extra features and release a patch.

Cheers,
