Bug: AT version of '88' with air transport

Post by McGuba »

This issue was spotted by Elgamor in the other, matrix forum, but no one has reacted, so I thought I would post it here as well, hopefully some of the devs read at least one of these...
Elgamor wrote (in the matrix forum):
now as much as i wish it wasnt a bug im sure it is..... i just figured it out this morning while starting the grand campaign map Amiens. this is my 2nd trip through the GC and i was trying out some new tactics i had read about in the forums here. (mainly the tactics using the stug-brumbar arty but thats for another thread) so i was branching out and developing an improved airborne force. i have been known to keep a light piece of artillery for airborne ops as far back as panzer general, but something my AB force always lacked was AT capability. this was usually provided by Tac-bomber support, but i digress. anyway, i was just going to grab a 37mm AT gun to use but while pondering this i started toying with other ideas as the 37mm AT is not very good for its intended use (or any other use) and i could just use a heavy INF unit and achieve better results. but while digging through the available units of the time i thought to my self wouldnt an 88 be perfect? so i bought one W\O transport and started it on the airfield. as i figured but much to my disappointment the air transport was unavailable.... until you hit the switch button and make it an AT gun! when you do the air transport becomes usable. this makes the best AB support unit ever as it can capture the airfield as you disembark then lay waste to thoes pesky tanks that like to lurk in remote places just to devour your poor AB troops. (Amazing job on the AI ability to counter attack and hold things in reserve BTW. this is the 1st game of this type to do that well or at all. very impressed)

any way i hate to point it out but im sure its a bug. (my AB assault of Rouen has halfway been achieved by turn 7 with only the loss if one para unit) im running v1.1 so if you have already fixed it thanks. (ill get the update later when i buy the next piece of the DLC)
So I checked the equipment.pzeqp file of Panzer Corps v1.23 (steam version) which, if I am right, is the latest version of the game as of today and found that the German 8.8 cm Pak 36 still has "heavypull sea rail air glider" in the usable transports column. Thus I suppose the "air" should be removed ASAP.

There are many units that have the glider or air trait in which they should not.

Many thanks for the information. In that case I suppose being a moderator you have the means to contact the developer in charge of the e-file and ask him to fix those things as no one seem to respond to these kinds of bug reports here. Thanks.
