Glad, that you like it!
And with that kind of icons/units we could make the WW1 Mod better and more interesting! Hopefully BNC is also satisfied?

Hi friend! Excellent unit icon! And best of it, it is also good to be included in a WWII environment. Just one thing: I think, in my humble opinion that the projectile looks a bit over-sized in caliber when caompered to the barrel muzzle dimensions... May be reducing the shell size a little will improve the icon... Just my opinion.

Good heavy artillery unit there - except that it would stand out far too much to the other units (I'm not using camo anywhere in the mod). Does it really sit on a square "plate" though?

Re: WWI - Mod Graphics (secondary forum)
Thank you again for your feedback!
Let me give you some specific answers:
Guille: Yes, ok...four eyes see more than two...I will reshape the grenades immediatly...
(Done!)
BNC: The platform is also described in the great Landship- link from McGuba (Thank you, there are many needed information about WW1 stuff - great!): ..."The carriage was in it’s turn attached to a bottom box, made by steel, providing the necessary stability for such a big piece of hardware." Additional info to the camo style: Thats why I made two versions - Early for 1914 - mid 1917 and Late for the rest of the war. Camo colour was a new part of "intelligent" warfare use in the last stages of WW1, so you have not only the use of camo style with artillery but also for infantry parts like helmets. You can see this at special photos of German soldiers and storm troopers. If you don't like that version you could use it as a SE Bonus unit for successful fighting in a special mission like: "If you win the scenario xyz in a fast way, then you get special weapon..." or so....
There is more to come...stay tuned...
Guille, please send me your WW1 workbench list (I have many more stuff), so we get the perfect workflow for the WW1 arsenal...

For more breaktrough power we could use the French heavy tank Saint-Chamond. The tank had a 75 mm cannon and various MG's. The success was limited because of it's overhang hull construction and the slow speed. Nevertheless, the tank is a must on each battlefield!

Re: WWI - Mod Graphics (secondary forum)
Yeah, thank you! I would say, it fits perfecty!
Yes Guille, some unit stuff is difficult to make without the right master picture! So I'm looking for the right stuff...
One of the most difficult things to make the WW1 mod independent from the vanilla stuff is the new style of the infantry units. First I want to make are the French Boys, they used in the early days the uniform from the war of 1870/71 and it looked like this:
That uniform was used until mid 1915, then comes the so called "Horizont Blue" colored uniform with another coat, leggings, boots and helmets.
Could we use it in this way...or what is your preference?
Feedback welcome...first version of infantry icon good enough?

Indeed, you are a master of infantry icons. I like this icon very much, it really makes the unit readily identifiable! Thumbs up!
By the way, using the kneeling figure and one of the standing ones, a good Fernch MG squad can be done derived from this one... (just thinking loud)

It's really good, and would fit well for the 1914 French infantry! Only thing we need now for it is a graphic that will work in the game!asuser wrote:Yeah, thank you! I would say, it fits perfecty!

Can't wait to see the Russian Unifroms! I've always liked the Russian Unifrom of any age. That Olive Green design just makes them look like battle hardened veterans!

The 15 cm sFH M14, recolored in a central european powers grey scheme, also made switchable in direct and indirect fire modes. As McGuba said, this weapon is the same as used by the Italians under the name Obice da 149/13 in the Second World War. The Germans also captured some of them and were used under the denomination 15cm sFH 401(i).

Are you sure you didn't mix it up with the D VIII - The D7 (biplane) isn't currently in the mod but the D8 (monoplane) is.guille1434 wrote:Another German aircraft for the WWI battlefields... The Fokker D.VII. Enjoy!

Don't panic, it's all ok!
Haha Guille, I have the same master picture!
For a better identification I would make the underlaying wing with more light, it's too dark. Best of all, we could use the plane icons with different camos (also Lozenge style) and markings for various air platoons!
Good work friend!

Re: WWI - Mod Graphics (secondary forum)
Nice job with those latest WWI icons, lads!
In my opinion the Fokker D.VII should be included in any WWI mod as nearly ten times more were produced than from the D.VIII which came a bit too late to make a difference. So it is good that there is an icon for it.

The D.viii's main home is Uk18! If France was defeated, it would have been mass-produced.McGuba wrote:Nice job with those lates WWI icons, lads!
