Define for me Roman Empire on this game.

Hi,
I have played this game before when i once owned it. Anyway I would just like to know what you mean by build the roman empire? Do you only get to conquer italy, gaul or britania seperately or can you actually creat an empire on a continental scale, i.e. does this game have a map with italy, spain, gaul, britania, germania, greece, turkey, palestine, egypt, north africa atc included into one gigantic map or is it still the same where you conquere italy and thats it? I haven't seen many screen shots for this game you see, so i don't know what it really looks like? All i can remember when they were making this game is that they said that they would expand the maps so that you are actually able to conquer not just italy, but recreate the original roman empire. Also i heard that you can edit the maps, so is that possible to create a gigantic map like the one i'm on about?

In Legion there are separate maps for each area, not one large grand campaign map. In later games (Chariots of War, Spartan etc) we added the ability to have one super campaign in addition to the smaller maps.

Hi,
Well thats a bit silly isn't it really because when i read that you were updating this game, i thought you were actually going to make it better by adding one large grand campaign map onto it. I just don't see the reason why you've left it out because it could work you know. The game itself doesn't need alot of memory to run on, so i don't think that having a huge map will change the speed of the game besides making it better. Look at chariots of war and spartan, they're actually better than legion because of the huge map you can play on. The graphics are fine on both chariots of war, spartan and legion, its just that legion i think needs a grand campaing map. I'm just kinda disappointed by this because i've been waiting for legion 2 to come out and instead its been a real let down.

Anyway, is it possible to get a grand map for legion so that i can play on the entire continent as the romans? Surely there must be a mod or something.

This game was released in 2001. It has not been updated so I'm not sure what you mean.
