Re: Any release date for the new patch (iPad)?
Great news! Do saved campaign games work with the new patch?
Re: Any release date for the new patch (iPad)?
Yes, no issues for both multiplayer and campaign saved games.
Re: Any release date for the new patch (iPad)?
I notice that in discussions about the PC version, the library includes details about game rules, but in the iPad version the library only has historical info. This still seems to be true in the update. Am I missing something? Is this information available online somewhere?
Re: Any release date for the new patch (iPad)?
The new patch is awesome now the only thing missing is the advanced options if they fix that it will be the same as PC version.
Re: Any release date for the new patch (iPad)?
I am a bit disappointed on the patch. Turning off music is a resource saver, but I hoped for implementation of the 2 most important missing features from the PC - advanced options and the detailed cobat breakdown. Any chance these features get impemented sometime?

Re: Any release date for the new patch (iPad)?
Realistically, considering it was 3-4 months to get the first patch, I doubt anytime soon. Although I dearly miss those features as well.

Re: Any release date for the new patch (iPad)?
Thats the reason why I would really like a company or developers response ... It should not be too hard to implement an interface which give ipad users these functions, even if that means a clumsy interface. Except the developers have rushed the PC on ipad solution with only half of the features in the game engine itself.

Can't blame them. Slith promised to have the game out by 2013, and the Beta Test was only there to test the games gameplay and stability. Features and other important stuff were left out
Plus there was only one developer working the entire iPad game, so he has lots of stress on him.

The truth of the matter is that Iain is probably sending his grand kids to college with people spending $80 on the iPad version while claiming all the while it's the same as the PC version. While it took them damn near three months just to fix this game so you can play on Manstien level I don't expect them to fix the advanced options for the this game this year or for that matter ever. Lesson learned slitherine. And well played by you. Good luck with your future iPad releases but I won't be one of them.LandMarine47 wrote:Can't blame them. I waited for them to respond to you. They didn't and now you have your answer.ThorHa wrote:I am a bit disappointed on the patch. Re: Any release date for the new patch (iPad)?
Hi guys,
it may all sound simple but as you can see it took 3 months to do the changes in the patch. If we could just wave a wand and have everything in that we wanted we would but it doesn't work like that. The team is small and they have to split their time between multiple fronts. We've delayed work on Armageddon for months to get these fixes in and there is a major deadline we cannot miss for contractual reasons coming up and so we have no choice but to work on that again for now. We will come back to iPad and create a new patch but it's going to be a few months down the line. We did everything we could in the first patch and have more we want to do but simply don't have the resources. We'd love to do more as there are so many things we could do with PzC but until we get Armageddon out the way we just don't have any options.
I assume you mean the lack of a response because I didn't reply over a weekend on one of our sites which between them have hundreds of sub forums and millions of posts.
Rogo/Rodney your comments go well above and beyond what is acceptable and you have been warned before and are now banned from the site.

Re: Any release date for the new patch (iPad)?
Iain, you say it's going to be a "few months down the line". I understand you're just guessing, but realistically don't you think it might be more like a year? Considering you have armageddon to do, then an iPad patch probably isn't at the top of the priority list, and even if it is the last one took 3 months and compared to the advanced features, was simpler.
I just don't want to get people's hope up thinking the iPad will have advanced features in a few months.
And for what it's worth, good job on banning Rodney!

Hello Iain,
it’s quite simple. There are two sides. One side is you and your time and resource problems. The other side is the customer and he doesn’t care about your resource problem and he is right because it is not his problem. Maybe he understands it, likes the game and so give you some time — but only once.
I am disappointed about the update too. But I think you have never expected that your internal problems will have no effect to the customers. It's a case of give and take. That’s the whole story.
By the way: I like your support in this forum and your honest answers. And you are right, a week is not a long time — normally, but for someone disappointed it can be.

Re: Any release date for the new patch (iPad)?
To be honest, while many people still complain about these features, unless they take away form the overall experience, they aren't really needed. Panzer Corps has and is still bringing me many hours of enjoyment, and I'll gladly pay for any new expansions with or without these features.
People who are coming form the PC want an exact replica of the PC version, which is never going to be happen, no matter how hard they try. That's just my view on the situation. If your so dissatisfied with the iPad, complaint about missing features, just delete it and play it on the PC! Jesus
Going back on Iains comment, the one Developer working on Panzer Corps iPad knows about all of this, and he just plain doesn't have the time nor resources too implement these features at the moment. Guess we will have to wait until he finishes his other project, then he can come back

Iain,
I think the iPad version of Panzer Corps is great. Its very deep and also seems quite stable. I understand the difficulty in getting the iPad version up to the PC version, and I can wait for new features. However, one of the things the iPad version is missing is the detailed game information in the library. Since its just a document, could you make that information available on this website for those of us without the PC version?
