Undrilled remaining stationery.....

Post by miffedofreading »

The main aim of my query is “when is is OK for undrilled inf to remain stationery”. I shall offer some examples :-

If an undrilled HF BG wished to do a “Short” move it would have to take a CMT if it did not have a general with it and is within 6” of enemy at some point in the move.

2 Special cases. Presumably if the undrilled HF wished to remain stationery and had a general with it or was outside of 6” from enemy then that would be a simple move.

If the HF was within charge range of an enemy unit, or in fact if within 6” at all of an enemy unit (and did not have a general with it) then in both cases it must carry out a CMT.

If it fails the CMT and is within charge range then it charges?

If it fails the CMT and is for example 5 inches from the nearest enemy it has to make a maximum 3” move forwards, (Though it may include a single wheel if it wishes.

Did I get these right?

Undrilled may remain stationary at any time unless the BG is within charge reach of the enemy and contains shock troops who have failed a compulsary CMT to not charge.
