Don't shoot the messenger....

Entries are still being accepted up until the 31st March according to the BHGS website.

Unless Andy Ellis is feeling particularly generous that may be a typo! All the other comps are listed for 21st March. I am awaiting just 1 list and 2 corrections in the DBMM and then the R&R for that will be published, for example.

Apologies to anyone misled by the typo, but please can you get your lists to Andy a.s.a.p.

Might be worth updating the BHGS website? Not everyone visits this forum.

Or Andy could let us know who he hasn't had lists from as we may be able to assist.

Not shooting the messenger, just pointing out its a bit unusual.

Although now you mention it, I think shooting the messenger would also be good :)

I am very sorry to have to report that Biggles is grounded this year!! Sadly, Chris Hanley has had an unavoidable commitment arise, and passes on his apologies to everyone who (like me) was looking forward to this annual highlight.

Chris promises a triumphant return in 2015!

The venue itself will still be open on Friday night (we'll be in there setting up form c.4pm) , so if anyone has anything that they would like to try out on us in lieu of Biggles, please shout! It could be board games (probably not time for a full run through of Civilisation, sadly) or figure games or whatever takes your fancy. Get together 3 or 4 of the armies intended for the weekend and play a huge multi-hander?

For those desperate for a WWI aviation fix, and this year of all years it is virtually de rigeur, I bought Wings of Glory (Wings of War as was) and a 4-pack of planes at Warfare this year and so far haven't had a chance to play it. I'd welcome a chance to be taught how! If anyone else is coming who has WWI WoW planes, perhaps we could muster a mass dogfight of our own - it's bound to be a pale imitation of Chris's masterpeice, but should still be fun.

Cheers,

Tim

Only Andy can answer that, and I don't know whether he has had all the lists in yet. I sent him a full list of riders on Wednesday, so he was presumably not in receipt of details of everyone's steed at that point.

Hopefully tonight then. I've got practice games to arrange :)

Powell is confident. He said "the last time you slated my army this much was when I won britcon".

Time will tell...
