The problem is the size limit of the files you can upload here, which is 256 kb, and sometimes the icon packs are bigger tan that...

Here is all the Hs-129 stuff...

Because Horst asked for it, here is a "icon family" showing the Italian HW Infantry, in a "plain" looking uniform, and a more colorful one for the SE unit. A big unit portrait is included also.
This excellent icons were finished by me (adding some shadows and repositioning the figures) using the excellent base design made by Asuser, with an incredible detail level. All the credit to him!!! :-) This is a completely original work, but looks very well between the stock game icons!

By the way, the muzzle of the heavy MG is on the same spot as it is in the Wehrmacht_HW icon, so the same animation could be used... In fact, we only would need to change the sound file for it, as the Italian heavy MG (I think it was a Breda model) was not as fast firing as the MG-42 German MG...

So, enjoy!

By the way, the Italian HW Paras uploaded by Razz in the Anfield thread, is also a creation of Asuser. Another fine icon!

OK, now that's just not fair. And you thought partisans were tough... If these start randomly spawning behind the lines, I'm heading for cover!

BTW, great job on the Italian unit, excellent addition, thanks! :D

Thanks for the reupload!
The Italian HW icon is not bad, but I prefer more harmony, size & style, with the vanilla icons.
Tigers? Heh, okay...would be something for the last British India mission of AK as surprise attack in the jungle. Remembers me of Bloodcats in Jagged Alliance 2. Now, create more mercenary, red- and blackshirt icons and we have a JA2 mod....nooo, please focus on WW2! :)

Guys... Thanks for the nice words and sense of humor! I was looking for a good tiger skin image, and found some really good photos of "Panthera Tigris", so I decided for a little departure from war like icons and have some fun. Besides, I love cats! (Figure that I share my home with sixteen of them! :-) )

Ice: Good idea about "partisan tigers" wrecking everything in the rearguard! :D

Horst: Yes, good icons, but they do not look exactly as stock ones... I will try to use vanilla Italian figures and that nice HMG to make a "vanilla looking" Italian HW Infantry icon...
UPDATE: I just read Anfield will release his "thicker figures" version of the vanilla Italian Infantry set, so I will wait for them, because they will be excellent, as always. Anfield: If you prefer you can use the HMG part of the icon I released...

Anfield: A good Black panther icon would not be bad, AT ALL... Now that you mention it... 8) Please read in the line above about the HW Italians!

By the way, I attach the Tiger skin files to use with the DCS software if someone wants to experiment...

Mac: No, I think this airship is commanded by Anne Hathaway, in a catwoman dress, or "catsuit" :-)
And... I don't know in your place, but here, "catwomen" are very expensive to maintain... 8)

Ok, to complete the Zeppelin theme, here is the pack with all the airship (German ones, in this case) that I made, and uploaded in the WWI graphics thread... Also, I added new icond for the LZ.129 Hindenburg and LZ.130 Graf Zeppelin II. These two were flying up to the WWII era... And even the LZ.130 did a military recon flight misión, as it is stated in Wikipedia:

24. The Spionage ("espionage trip") of 2 to 4 August 1939, taking over 48 hours and covering 4,203 km (2,612 mi), was the longest trip the LZ 130 made. The main goal was to secretly collect information on the British Chain Home radar system.[1] To do this the airship flew northwards close to the British east coast up to the Shetland Isles and back. As well as the 45 crew, 28 personnel engaged in the measurements were carried. Lifting off was around 20:53 on 2 August 1939, it overflew Hildesheim at 23:38, seen by very few people.[1]

According to the memoirs of Albert Sammt, Mein Leben für den Zeppelin (translation: "My life for the zeppelin") in the chapter Mit LZ 130 Graf Zeppelin auf Funkhorch- und Funkortungsfahrt ("with the LZ 130 Graf Zeppelin on the radio-listening and radiolocation trip") a radio-measuring spy basket was used. He flew the LZ 130 up Britain's east coast stopping the engines at Aberdeen pretending they had engine failure in order to investigate strange antenna masts. They drifted freely westwards over land and saw for the first time the new Supermarine Spitfires, which were then photographed as they circled the airship.[2]

On their return journey, as they neared Frankfurt on the evening of 4 August they were warned by radio that landing was not yet possible. At first they suspected an aeroplane had crashed at the site, but on overflying saw nothing amiss. They turned and flew towards the Rhön Mountains and on asking, were informed "landing before dusk not possible". They decided to return to Frankfurt and speak directly with the landing team (Landemannschaft) using their Very high frequency transmitter, so that they would not be overheard by the French and so that they could speak in Swabian German to Beurle, the landing team leader.[2]

Beurle informed them they must not land yet because the British had lodged a diplomatic protest over their actions and a British delegation was at the airfield, with agreement of the German government, to inspect the ship. They were under suspicion. Beurle told them to wait while they thought of something.[2]

Shortly, the LZ 130 received instructions. They were to hide all the equipment on the ship and not to land at the usual well-lit landing point where a landing team was waiting, but to land at the other end where the "real" landing team was waiting. Once they had landed there, the technicians were to get off and they would be replaced by a unit of Sturmabteilung.

The British delegation waiting at the usual landing place were told that, due to the weather, the airship had to land at another part of the airfield. By the time the British reached the airship, the spy crew was on a bus on their way to their hotel. Although they searched the ship, the British found nothing suspicious on the ship nor in the decoy SA-crew.[2]

Dr. Breuning explained that the trip's results were negative, and not because the British radar was switched off, as Churchill wrote in his memoirs. The German General Martini used a strong, impulsive, broadband radio transmission for determining the "radio-weather", the best wavelengths to use for radio. These impulses severely disturbed the highly sensitive receivers in the 10-12 metre waveband. Dr. Ernst Breuning wrote that he repeatedly requested Martini to stop transmitting during the spy trips, to no avail. This made it impossible for the LZ 130 to investigate the very wavebands the British were using.[2]

Amazing info!

In a "What If?" PzCorps universe setting, I can imagine Zeppelin units flying as higly specialized recon platforms, and/or being very early AWACS craft (perhaps giving this kind of unit the same trait as radars, that give fighters in the vicinity more initiative)...

Here are the files, have fun!:

Ok, to complete the theme about the 7,5 cm leIg 18 in its towed form... Here is one more pack about it.
Bearing in mind that this was an infantry gun, I thought it would be appropiate to make the icons with crew figures (to associate the unit more with infantry than with artillery forces). So, here are a variety of schemes for that little gun, as always, in direct and indirect fire modes. I hope you like them!

EDIT: Improved versions of the icons uploaded, replaced the old ones.

Also, as it was asked by Hs1611 sometime ago, I am slowly compiling a big pack of units for a "Fallschirmjager Corps"... That would be a "core inside the core" group of airborne units, and who knows, may be it gives an idea to one or more of the talented modders here to make a "Fallschirmjager Campaign Mod"...
As a teaser, here is the ever present :-) 7,5 cm leIG 18 in service with the Fallschirmjager forces, in the regular and SE variants, and, of course in direct and indirect fire modes! Enjoy!

I would like to comment that much of the stuff that I used to make the crew figures and their different uniforms was taken from Anfield super-excellent work. Credit due to him! :-)
Thanks, pal!!

Well in that case I surrender. You'd have to be crazy to want to fight that off.

Take me to your leader...

P.S. Great story on the Zeppelin reconnaissance mission, very interesting. Thanks for sharing! :)

Another icon for Stan's light fleet... The same Elco PT-103 class boat, but this would be a SE unit, with its distinctive diruptive camo... Regretably much of the detail of that stunning paint scheme was lost when downscaling the figure to the icon size. Anyway, I think it has its looks...

Excellent!!
Thank you very much.

Just to let you know, I'm not considering making any "Fallschirmjager", or any other MOD.
You wouldn't like it if I did anyway, I'm just that bad.
I only want to use a Fallschirmjager Kampfgruppe as part of my core on the GC or whatever other campaigns I play.

Thanks again.
