Any way to see hero information during deployment?
Is there any way to see unit hero information during the deployment phase?
That is to get the info panel that I usually get by right clicking the unit during the scenario? I'm playing certain mod scenarios that allow only 25 units out of 70 core units available for deployment (notorious Battleaxe to be more precise). And I have to choose those units wisely. I would especially like to deploy Wurfrahmen 40 with increased range hero, but unless I rename that unit during previous scenario into something obvious, there is no other way to know which unit has which heroes during deployment, and I need to put only the best into battle since enemy is overwhelming.

Place the mouse cursor over the little soldier icon on the unit tab that indicates it's having heroes and a a little moment later you will get a tooltip window with the stats of all the heroes of the unit.

I have requested and am still waiting for the fix where the heroes attributes, such as +2 attack, +3 defence, etc., are added to the unit values when one right clicks, or at least a nicely visible summary in the control panel to the right, where there seems to be plenty of room. No I am not satisfied with clicking through tab after tab or renaming units.
There is room on the unit hex graphic for hero/experience markers.
I hate it that all the units appear the same on the battle map. A 5-star multi-heroed unit appears exactly the same as a brand new unit.
What a great idea for an upgrade patch that would make the game even more replay fun, reward loyal customers and spark new sales.

Well they arent exactly the same, the gold unit strenght box does get a gold dot for every hero that unit has, but doesnt tell you more than that. But you are right, there must be some way to do it. Why not put a small gold star on top of the strenght box for unit exp. That should be easy enough to do since they already put a dot at the bottom for heros. The control panel where the unit stats is a good place to put them too, show improvements from heros is green, much like when you compare buys units.wargovichr wrote:I have requested and am still waiting for the fix where the heroes attributes, such as +2 attack, +3 defence, etc., are added to the unit values when one right clicks, or at least a nicely visible summary in the control panel to the right, where there seems to be plenty of room. So long as they dont add a nazi bobblehead to the unit graphic that goes ra-ta-ta-ta-ta.wargovichr wrote:I have requested and am still waiting for the fix where the heroes attributes, such as +2 attack, +3 defence, etc., are added to the unit values when one right clicks, or at least a nicely visible summary in the control panel to the right, where there seems to be plenty of room.
