Charging and line of sight

Charging and line of sight

Hi
Do friendly troops block line of sight in normal play like in shooting? If so can you have a BG of non shock infantry in front of your maniac shock ( I have to test not to charge) types to keep them from heading off against your will - as they can't see the enemy so can't charge?
