recreating xerxes

hi i thought i would make a unit called xerxes on the persian side in the campaign GCromepersia
how to do it? i have added .PCX files, added entries to battlegfx.txt, squad.txt,armies.txt, and he still doesnt appear...
is something lacking in my worship? i want him to be from the beginning like achilles on the prehistory campaign
any ideas?

It's hard to say really. There are so many reasons why it might not appear. Check the map is the right one, you're looking at the right army etc. Is a squad appearing but the wrong one?

yes i am looking at the right army, and no unit appears. it is one thing to create a unit, and another to make it appear on the map. right? so, what does it take to create a hero unit? i modified battlegfx.txt, squad.txt, and added the files(.PCX) to the unit graphics folder. anything else? BTW, do i need to add the unit graphics files (.PCX) to the original folder, or will it do just fine inside the mod folder?
