Bedouin and Arabs
Continuing my "what can I use my figures for in FoG:R" quest I have come around to my fairly large collection of Arab type figures. The Desert Bedouin and Settled Arab States would seem to be an obvious fit, if rather poor armies, so anyone any suggestions as to composition or use of them?

It probably Isn't worth bothering with the Portuguese mercenaries.
Alasdair likes Settled Arab states with Bedouin allies (for the dragoons).
Of course this army is only of any use in Asiatic themes.
I did badly with it at Derby, but you might do better. Especially if you have an easier draw.

I recall being particularly pleased when I found the reference to the camel mounted sharpshootersrbodleyscott wrote:Re Settled Arab States:nikgaukroger wrote:Continuing my "what can I use my figures for in FoG:R" quest I have come around to my fairly large collection of Arab type figures. Or for finally achieving that last place in a comp that has always eluded me ...Of course this army is only of any use in Asiatic themes.
Doubt I'd do much better even without your drawI did badly with it at Derby, but you might do better. Especially if you have an easier draw.

I've used the Settled Arab States with the Mamluk ally. It worked ok once I'd got the hang of it.

What about a Moghul? I play with it and it is fun, artillery (loads), cavalry, elephants and warriors with arquebus

Re: Bedouin and Arabs
This might be a dumb question, but ... I've got a ton of Essex & Old Glory Arabs from the Conquest/Empire period ... how badly unsuitable are they for the Settled States period?
