I wish I could say something more specific, but I just wanted to pass along my general sentiments after a few days playing this game. I'm finding one thought that keeps going through my head while I play: "MY god i'm having to do a lot of clicking!"
Many, MANY, of the common actions could be a lot more streamlined. Just an example, scheduling a mission if starting from the space center screen takes, let me count, 11 clicks minimum? zomg!
Waaay too much clicking.
Re: Waaay too much clicking.
Hello Agathorn,
Thanks for your feedback. I'm adding some more buttons in the 'Solar System' screen so that you can, for example, get a list of all your mission components along with their assigned SET personnel so that you can manage that aspect of the game without having to dig all the way down.
Notice that the "Manage Programs" button, which is already available in the game, allows you to get a list of all the opened programs and go straight to the mission configuration/RD assignments screen, so that should save you some clicks.
Cheers,

The Manage Programs is a vast improvement from before, but note that it takes you all the way into a specific mission configuration, so if you want to launch a *different* configuration, you need to back out a couple screens, then dive back in.Nacho84 wrote:Hello Agathorn,

Re: Waaay too much clicking.
I must admit that I spend quite a lot of my time when I am playing the game trying to remember how to get where I need to go.
Its a rather convoluted program arrangement based around a linear tree, it seems, whereas I would have thought a radial navigation arrangement would have been better where you can get to everywhere you need to go with one click on the Space Complex screen.
Certainly I use the manage program button all the time so it really need to be more prominent. But I also use the icons at the bottom all the time rather than clicking on the buildings. Whereas clicking on the buildings is nice alternative you cant beat an extensive navigation sidebar for playing the game most of the time. A good navigation systems should really be intuitive and painless, but this one doesnt have that really. I dont think I have ever used the present sidebar, for example, because I can never remember what the buttons do. I think my earlier suggestion of colour coding things could make navigation a bit more intuitive.

Re: Waaay too much clicking.
Hey All,
I must admit that there is too much clicking indeed.
As I am in for ex. Mercury Program, and I want to start up something new, I click on the small Solar System Button on the Left, but still I have an opened window for current planet/moon. The fastest way to get there is through Space Complex. Also if I want to switch through opened programs I am missing "Opened Programs" button wherever I am, besides solar system.
I would suggest that left panel button would be structured as below:
Button 1 - Solar System
Button 2 - Earth/Moon/Planet we are currently on
Button 3 - Current Project Overview
Button 4 - Mission Profiles (now its a back button I believe)
Button 5 - R&D
Also it would be marvelous if Solar System would be in Color. Imagine a simple animation of Orange Sun:) Beautiful
Thank you

Passed this suggestion to the devs. Also passed the "less clickage" suggestion.lehovsky wrote:Also it would be marvelous if Solar System would be in Color. Imagine a simple animation of Orange Sun:) Beautiful
Re: Waaay too much clicking.
I also have a problem with too much clicking. But in another part of the game.
I send my personel to advanced training a lot. I don't like them haning around doing nothing.
Flight Controllers need to go to AT every second week.
First I have to find out which ones are available (are not assigned to a project).
To do this I have to click 'View Assignments' once for every ten Flight Controllers I have employed.
-> It would be nice if I can see what they are doing in the main view of the Mission Control Centre (this goes for SET and Astronauts as well)
I think this is more important than a picture of the employee. Maybe this can be replaced/changed.
Second thing I have to do is assign every single available employee to Advanced Training.
If you have 25 Flight Controller, 25 SET and 25 Atronauts this might take a while.
-> I'd like the possibility to select a bunch of them and assign them alltogether to AT.
Speaking of the Mission Control Centre/SET Centre/Astronauts Centre:
Why is it that I can only the the stats bar and not the exact value of each employee's skills?
There is enough space to show the values.
Some of my Flight Controllers have most of their skills above 90 so I see 5 bars that are excatly the same lenght.
But the values are between 90 and 98. Having the exact values displayed would be very nice.
Another thing I don't like.
The list of my employees is divieded into up to 3 pages (max. 10 employees/page).
But I also have to scroll to see the whole page.
These are tw0 things I have to do to watch my staff list.
This is a little bit anoying.
Either put them on more than one page but then make the whole page visible without scrolling or put them all on one page.

Re: Waaay too much clicking.
Yeah I have to admit I often forget there is a second page. It shoukld really be just one long scrolling page, or a summary list with just the name and stats or something like that so you can see everything you need to in one screen for all 20-25 or your personnel. After all the photo is nice and but if it is having to show that on the list that makes it too long get rid of it. After all you ahve got the screen on the left hand side for the photo, detailed stats bars etc that you can get by clicking on the person, no need to show it in all the list as well really.Mahok wrote:Another thing I don't like.

Hello all,
Thanks for the feedback. At the moment I'm mostly focusing on the missing gameplay features but yes, we've allocated some time at the end of the development cycle to tidy up the loose ends in the UI. So don't worry, all these things will be addressed before the release date.
Cheers,
