Congratulations for the game from an old PG addict

It was truly a surprise to see a successor for PG on IPad. And a really good one, especially with the Grand Campaigns.

Panzer Corps is so close to the original while making mostly useful tweaks that I already reached the Streets of Moscow on "General" with a balanced core of 41 units (4 SE), 17800 in the bank, though with a lot of battered units after Vyazma. All scenarios played once and the first time, so this game is REALLY designed for PG veterans

Thanks to the team, value for the money. And I already lost hope to see a real war/strategy game besides Starbase Orion, the Wesnoth portation and Battle Academy after Sid Meier screwed Civ on the platform, now I have a bigger and better PG on IPAd. Yay!

Agree 100%. From another old PG addict, this game is awesome! It combines nearly all of the great characteristcs of SSI's 5-star series in to a very enjoyable game. Can't wait for the next version...Soviet Corps!

Likewise, and after a few years of playing, not to mention all the great mods you can add and play, this game never gets old!!

i didn't even play panzer general until 3-4 years ago. Then I heard the Panzer General Forever creator had made a new game. I knew it would be a classic, was just waiting for the ipad as a perfect platform to play it on. I'll probably splurge and buy PC version too, it is an incredible game!

Oooops, and one major nitpick: I did not study the GC trees before - is it true that regardless of your efforts and number of victories there is no influence on the war progress except for 45 Sealion in GC West?

If so than this is a huge flaw compared to PG I.

I share a special bond with PG, since it was actually my first strategy game I played (not gonna bore you with the time lost in Avalon Hill's World At War Series, Norm Koger's Operation Art of War... As a wargamer with mileage, I just want to thank you deeply for making Panzer Corps + Grand Campaign possible on iPad.

I play this game since the minute 1 since it was available in App Store for every single day; one, but usually two to three hours. It's fantastic and a tablet is an incredible, more natural armchair platform.

Hope that this iPad adventure was worth your time and enough people downloaded and enjoyed this great game! I know I do!

GC is mostly historical, and this is not a flaw as it is not comparable to PG I. You should compare the normal wehrmacht campaign starting in 39 to PG I. There you can change the history in PG I style with an invasion of USA as the final step.

May be. But my complain was not the highly irreal invasion of the USA missing (alone), but any real effect of a series of decisives. No chances to knock either GB or Soviet Union out of the war - but these two chances were real and PG I modeled these very convincingly.

Victories are essential if you are trying to win the campaign in 1945, just not that obvious. Decisive victories in the GC gives you extra prestige most the time. Also getting decisive means you took more cities and objectives for even more prestige. That also rewards you with some extra captured equipment too, that you can use or sell for extra resources. Decisive victories gets you extra scenarios that gets you some more needed experience for your core and nets you even more prestige. All that prestige and experience gain keeps adding up to a great advantage that you will need to eventually win the campaign for Axis in 1945 and change history, somewhat. Just not the exagerated Alexander type of world conquering from vanilla or Afrika Korps.

I find this approach satisfying as i get to fight all the historical engagements of World War 2 and thus relieve history. And the challenge of the desperate defenses of the later war years i usually never get to experience if i just steamroll Europe in 1939-1941.

Thanks, I am aware of the minor advantages of decisives (prestige does NOT belong to them), but apart from these the feeling is missing that you actually really achive something on the grand scale. It is my nitpick though, does not have to be yours.
