Bug ? - Lorraine Schlepper
Hey Dudes,
I have but in a game vs Treetom on "Woods".
My Lorraine Schlepper refuses to shoot barrage for two or three turns now. I don't see the reason.
Have a look at the screenshot.

Re: Bug ? - Lorraine Schlepper
Treetom just told me that the Lorraine Schlepper needs some turns until it can shoot again.
Wasn't used to this. Should be mentoined somewhere. Or did I oversee something?

No matey, your opponent is correct, it's not mentioned anywhere you just get use to it after playing with them first time around.

Hi man, protectivedaddy wrote:you just get use to it after playing with them first time around.
this should not be the way to play a game. Anything "special" about a scenario should be communicated to the players.

A good point, and I agree. But protectivedaddy was just trying to help you out. He certainly didn't write the scenario.
I think the best way to describe our operations to date is that they have violated every recognized principle of war.

Hi!
Sorry, I am not a native speaker, and I am sorry if I got the wrong tone.
I appreciate his comment and yours and of course I don't blame him for the problems I have with the scenario.
I hope you know what I mean. I just wanted to "connect" to his comment.

No problem. I find your comments well thought out and to the point.dickesKind wrote:Hi!

Most of the on-board artillery units (Lorraine, Sturmpanzer, neb's, US 105's) do need a turn or more to 'reload". some of the others (wespe, 25lber and bishops) do not and generally can fire every turn.dickesKind wrote:Treetom just told me that the Lorraine Schlepper needs some turns until it can shoot again.

Not sure if there is a list of all of the SP uints and their rate of reload?

Re: Bug ? - Lorraine Schlepper
No, they are all buried in the squads.csv's. That's why for RTT I just brought the exceptions into line. The determination between the two groups was too random. The only exception I made was for the French 75 (coming up in RTT) and the US 75s. They have a significantly higher ROF than the rest.morge4 wrote:Most of the on-board artillery units (Lorraine, Sturmpanzer, neb's, US 105's) do need a turn or more to 'reload". some of the others (wespe, 25lber and bishops) do not and generally can fire every turn.dickesKind wrote:Treetom just told me that the Lorraine Schlepper needs some turns until it can shoot again.

But on a bigger issue, this is where I wholeheartedly agree with where I think dickesKind was saying. The one weakness of BA has been an inconsistency in spelling out and *describing* to the players things that occur in scenarios; unit quirks, etc. as well, a general inconsistency in some design issues (the M3 Halftrack having a higher HE rating than the M3GMC, for instance, or all the M3 Halftracks having wildly different armor ratings when in fact, they all had the same armor). It's just a haphazard approach.
