Brigade moves clarifying question

Post by hazelbark »

I think we may have been playing sloppy.

Skilled division making a brigade move with 3 units. Perfect legal, test as one etc.

But I do not think he can use his internal CP as that say any "unit" led.

So the brigade moves must cost a real CP not the commander leading. Correct?

If this is true, I think it is a very good thing as it incentives having more CP with your army if you plant to attack quickly.

We have been playing that you do get the 'free' CP for being attached, and further that the test is passed on a 4, again for being attached.

Same here but you do raise a good point on the wording, and it might make more sense.

Page 43: (right-hand column, 2nd bullet) "The unit or BG making a move led by a Division Commander does not expend a Command Point to attempt a complex move if he remains with the unit or BG throughout."

Figures he who relies on those moves so much would have found that page... I am usually defending so don't use it very often myself.
