Shooting backwards
Version 2.0, Page 88, 11-3 Arc of fire, Right hand column, Line 3:
* Light horse and light chariots with bow can also shoot backwards...
I believe "with bow" refer to Light horse also. Therefore LH with Javelin or Xbow cannot do it, correct?
Thanks/Guglielmo

Yeah, and I note that I generally want to shoot to my rear after I've evaded in Impact and , of course, you can't do that.

Re: Shooting backwards
Anybody ever use the shooting backward tactic successfully and under what circumstances?

Re: Shooting backwards
You might occasionally get to shoot to your rear but it's not really a tactic of choice more a bonus dice now and again.
Where it's helpful is if an enemy BG comes within a mm of your LH. You fail the CMT to fall back 2 MU. So turn 180 degrees and move to 3MU whilst still getting a shot.

If your LH bow only is being chased by LH L, Sw perhaps?bbotus wrote:Anybody ever use the shooting backward tactic successfully and under what circumstances?
Re: Shooting backwards
I once broke a unit of terry shaws heavily armoured knights with light horse shooting backwardsbbotus wrote:Anybody ever use the shooting backward tactic successfully and under what circumstances?
Shot them to disrupted in Terry's turn. Failed my cmt and other stuff was about so had to move away. Threw the double six and they dropped to fragged.
I turned around, terry failed to bolster them and I shot them to broken.
Some people claim this was a tad fortunate
