Does anyone know how to change my avatar as I would rather have something other then a recon unit as my avatar

it will change as your post count goes up. After all we were a lowly panzer 1a at some time!

Are there any allied avatars as all the avatars I seen so far are German Units?

The avatars would have been set up when PzC first came out (probably anyway - I wasn't part of this in '11), so I don't think any Allied ones exist. I have been working on a list that gets up to ~300 posts (I have just achieved 300) (anyone reading this months after I posted it, it was that at this time!):

0-4 Opel Blitz
5-9 Wehrmacht Infantry
10-19 Panzer IA
20-29 SdKfz 222
30-49 5cm PaK 38
50-74 Strongpoint
75-99 Ju87G
100-124 Destroyer
125-149 SdKfz 251/1
150-174 SdKfz 232 8-rad
175-199 Panzer IIC
200-249 7.5 cm Artillery
250-299 StuG IIIF
300-??? Kavallerie

If anyone can continue this list that would be much appreciated!

Maybe in the future the avatars could be a bit more flexible like instead for just having your avatars change when your post counts go up. You unlock avatars instead as there are some avatars I like but after a certain amount of posts I won't have it as my avatar anymore
