3rd Medal
I'm mid way in the Grand Campaign (1942) having moved my core along from the beginning of the war. I've received quite a good selection of medals and heroes. But so far, even the best units I have only use 2 of the three medal slots. (This is on the iPad). If the second slot is for the Knight's Cross and its variants, what is the third slot for?

As you can see, only the Eagle Cross of Italy, the British's Victoria and the Medal of Honor use the 3º slot.

The third slot for the German player may be the only empty one, but it is still much more difficult to reach the highest German medal as there are seven possible medals in all (compared to five Italian and three British / American). The highest medal I was able to reach so far were the Brillanten, the last grade should be the Goldenes Eichenlaub. However, the third slot could have been filled with the Großkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes, as both the Goldenes Eichenlaub and the Großkreuz were awarded only once. Now we can wonder which medals will be included in "Soviet Corps" - Order of the Red Banner, Order of Lenin, Hero of the Soviet Union?
