Strange New Error

I've been playing FoG off and on for a couple of years and have never encountered any problems.
In a tournament game against tullius I noticed on the replay that one of his LF units became disordered for no apparent reason.
When the game switched to my turn, before I touched a key, I got an error message that said
"Sorry, could not attack. Cannot attack with a battlegroup that does not belong to the phasing side".
Attack arrows for my units are available but when I hover over them I get 0% combat ratios. When I try to attack I get this error message
"Sorry, could not attack. A different battlegroup must attack first: Spearmen"
The spearmen are my opponents units.
I cannot end the phase (another error message).
I tried reloading the turn but got the same result.

Tried the turn again this morning without using the replay. Everything worked normally.
