[SUGGESTION] Viewing pre-mission likely results

Post by nats »

One thing that I have found is that there is no way to see what a future mission will produce as a result (in terms of badges etc) without paying to open the mission. Is this WAD? Because, yes, it provides a bit of an unknown element to the games progress in that you are never really sure if you are doing the right mission to get the result you want. But at the same time its frustrating having to open up several missions wasting money if you are never going to need to do them just to close them again. It would be better if you could see the likely success results of any missions before paying for them.

Also I would like to see some randomisation introduced into the mission results that you actually get. At the moment if you are successful you always get all the badges listed. But that shouldnt necessarily be the case. Some thing might go wrong with the spacewalk for example and you might not get that badge and have to do the mission again to get it. Obviously the chance of something like this happening should be relatively low, but still it would introduce a good element of fluidness to the gameplay which at the moment is too predictable, I feel.

AFAIK - partial failures, failures of just one step that allow the rest of the mission to continue, specific failure reasons or failures narrowly averted by crew skill - all of those are planned to be implemented.
