end of the table

Post by deadtorius »

Another odd situation in todays game, two French units had charged a unit of Cossacks who evaded. The one French unit ended up with its front corner on my table edge facing the table edge so that a forward move would have taken them off table. During their next turn they wanted to wheel to face the Austrian army, however I said they could not as 1 base of the unit would have to wheel off the table to make the wheel move. I thought they had to reform with a new facing in this situation. Evades have to stop at table edges so why can a unit freely move over the void even if it intends to complete its move on table.
Any thoughts?

I'm with you.
The French needed to reform to face the new direction. Cannot wheel off table IMO.
